Binhua delayed coking unit to drive successfully

On October 23, the 1 million ton delayed coking unit of Shandong Binhua designed by China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation East China Design Branch was successfully driven to produce the first tower of coke.

The device belongs to a new installation and the raw material is high-sulfur vacuum residue. East China Design Branch adopts a mature and advanced one furnace and two tower delayed coking process. The automatic control system adopts DCS distributed control system to achieve centralized monitoring, operation and management functions.

This design adopts a non-polluting cold coke water closed cycle process to seal the whole process of cold coke water and eliminate the pollution of the cold coke water to the surrounding environment. A coke oven with a lid is used to prevent coke and decoking water from splashing during decoking. In order to reduce the fresh water consumption, the sewage at the top of the contact cooling tower can be drained to the cold coke water tank after grease trapping, instead of fresh water as cold coke water make-up water. During the construction, the professional design personnel of East China Branch conducted on-site technical services to check and resolve problems in the process of device construction and ensured the successful completion of the device.
