The new joint venture company will produce medium and heavy trucks under the Futian Auman brand. Daimler will provide related technologies and engines, and Foton Motor will provide car chassis and its sales and service network. Daimler focuses on China's huge truck market and growth potential, and hopes to save the high transportation costs of exporting trucks to China through this cooperation.
