This also means that more than half of the more than 400 vehicles that currently enjoy subsidies will be affected by more than half of the models, and they will not be able to enjoy the 3,000-yuan policy.

The introduction of the energy-saving vehicle subsidy policy has played a huge role in the sales volume increase of 1.6 liters or less of displacement cars, especially the small-displacement models of self-owned brands.

At present, there are many entry-level models of self-owned brands, and the price is relatively low. The 3,000 yuan subsidy is very attractive to consumers who purchase such models. If the subsidy is withdrawn, the independent brands will undoubtedly be affected more.

If the standard of energy-saving subsidies is raised to less than 6.2 liters, more than half of the models will be eliminated, which will undoubtedly be a huge blow to the current auto market, and the self-owned brand will be the biggest "victim."

Undoubtedly, the overall strength of self-owned brands lags far behind that of joint venture brands, and policy changes have the greatest impact on them. In the first half of this year, due to the adjustment of the country’s macroeconomic policies, the withdrawal of relevant promotion policies, and the impact of adjustments needed by itself, the auto market growth rate has dropped significantly, and the trend of the decline in the sales volume of self-owned brands has become apparent.

From the sales data of the first 7 months, the self-owned brands have declined. Sales of Japanese, German, U.S., Korean, and French car companies increased compared with the same period and year-on-year, except that Japan suffered a decline due to the earthquake.

In fact, due to the fact that many policies introduced by the state in recent years are conducive to the development of small-displacement vehicles and rising fuel prices, joint ventures are increasingly focusing on the development of small-displacement vehicles and the production of small-displacement vehicles.
