Filter Selection Principles

The filter is an indispensable device on the transmission medium pipeline and is usually installed on the inlet side equipment of a pressure reducing valve, a pressure relief valve, a constant water level valve, and other equipment of the Fanggong filter. After the filter has a filter cartridge of a certain size, the impurities are blocked. When it is necessary to clean the filter cartridge, the removable filter cartridge can be removed and reinstalled after processing. Therefore, the use and maintenance are extremely convenient.

In principle, the inlet and outlet of the filter should not be smaller than the matching inlet diameter of the pump, generally the same as the diameter of the inlet pipe.

The pressure rating of the filter is determined by the highest possible pressure in the filter line.

The material of the filter is generally the same as the material of the connected process piping. For different service conditions, a cast iron, carbon steel, low alloy steel, or stainless steel filter may be selected.
