Mazda recalls nearly 50,000 Tribute in the United States

Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. announced that it will recall Tribute SUV models from 2001 to 2002 in the United States. The reason for the recall is that there is a risk of brake fluid leakage in these vehicles.

NHTSA, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said that Mazda will recall 52,390 Tribute SUVs from 2001 to 2002 in the United States. Mazda’s dealership will overhaul these vehicles.

Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. stated that the brake caps of the above vehicles had problems, which caused the brake fluid to leak. The discharged brake fluid may corrode the ABS harness connectors of the anti-lock brake system, resulting in melting, smoke, and even fire. .

Mazda Motors will replace brake cylinder reservoir caps for these vehicles for free, changing the ABS circuit system.
