Wearable gadgets do not win mainstream consumer products. The reason SmartWatch is not seen by many people at all is probably that people use too few applications, which limits its development.
However Samsung revealed different views, and its family gear smartwatches now have over 1000 applications. This is very landmark because it makes the number of Samsung applications very close to the pebbles, Samsung and other competitors, when it comes to smartwatches, Pebble claims to be launched in its iOS app store in January this year.
A good number of applications are useful in an app store, such as when the BlackBerry uses logic, but this disclosure from Samsung does show that its gear gains some support in the developer community. Or, they at least look at pebbles, which makes their developers and company applications very important.
Even high-tech enthusiasts (like me) are reluctant to buy SmartWatch, but with more applications and service support, it is important that it helps Samsung get some potential new customers. Although, not all applications support three gear models: Galaxy Gear, Gear 2 and New Gear 2.
