Atlas Copco's new Boomer XL3D three-armed rock drill trolley is suitable for construction of large-section tunnels and hydropower projects. The Boomer XL3D three-armed rock drill trolley has safety, high efficiency, ergonomic design features, and is equipped with a traditional, direct control system that is well-liked by customers and has also undergone many innovations. At the end of November 2010, BoomerXL3D will be exhibited at the bauma China Construction Machinery Exhibition in Shanghai, China.
· One of the major innovations is human-computer interaction. The Boomer XL3D uses a pilot-controlled hydraulic system to reduce the number of high-pressure hoses near the control platform, making it safer for operators and less noisy.
·Using the new ergonomic control panel, the hydraulic components of the control system are grouped together for easy maintenance and maintenance.
· A protective ceiling that meets the FOPS (Falling Impact) standard can be raised by 1.1m to increase the visibility. The optional enclosed cab is extremely comfortable with internal noise of less than 80dB(A) and the cab is air-conditioned for easy adjustment to a comfortable temperature.
· Equipped with diesel engines that meet Euro III emission standards, reducing tail gas pollution.
To increase efficiency and accuracy, the Boomer XL3D is optionally equipped with a Propeller Beam Angle Measurement System (FAM3), which helps operators accurately drill holes, reduce over-excavation or under-cut, and increase one-time footage.
The Boomer XL3D is available with COP1638, COP1838 and COP2238 hydraulic rock drills to suit different rock conditions.
Atlas Copco Construction & Mining Technology Division develops, manufactures and sells rock drilling, construction and demolition tools, drilling rigs and their equipment, for surface and underground rock drilling, exploration drilling, rock reinforcement, ground engineering, and excavation Wells, oil and gas exploration and other activities provide advanced productivity. The main product development and manufacturing units in this business area are located in Sweden and the United States.
Underground rock excavation equipment is a business unit of Atlas Copco's construction and mining technology business.
