On September 9, Dalian Disch Marine Machinery Co., Ltd. completed the delivery of the tower soft-arm single-point hinge device built by the world-famous oil company Exxon Mobil (CFPU).
The unit consists of 13 major components and is another important offshore project completed by Dalian Di Shi following the “BZ25-1/S TOWER YOKE†single-point construction project built by China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
The single-point mooring project of ExxonMobil (CFPU) is packaged by the world-famous single-point mooring company SOFEC. Based on the good cooperation of the previous “BZ25-1/S TOWER YOKE†single-point construction project, in October 2012, SOFEC and Dalian Disch signed a subcontract for the articulated parts of the project. The project was officially started in April 2013, including high-precision machining of large casting forgings, surface surfacing of large castings and forgings INCONEL625, 316L, and welding of high-strength steel and castings. Among them, the machining of large castings and forgings needs to be completed by a 16M diameter vertical lathe and a 5.5M high gantry milling machine. During the implementation of the project, the project team overcame many technical problems such as special welding and high-precision machining, which enabled the products to be delivered on time and in good quality, and won the praise of SOFEC and ExxonMobil.
In recent years, in conjunction with COSCO Shipyard's transformation of offshore manufacturing, Dalian Disch has fully utilized its technological advantages, undertaken the research and development of the national offshore equipment core equipment project, and undertook the design and construction of the first domestic FPSO single-point mooring equipment. The research and development and manufacturing supporting business of marine engineering equipment such as points, modules, rack legs and electric instrument installation and commissioning have successively obtained the audit and approval of CNOOC, SBM, SOFEC and other companies. The successful cooperation with Exxon Mobil has once again enhanced the popularity of Dalian Disch in the field of offshore equipment manufacturing, laying a solid foundation for better carrying out offshore supporting business in the future.
