Recently, China FAW Group Corporation held the "CA12TA Transmission Mass Production Quality Confirmation Meeting" at the Liberation Transmission Subsidiary. FAW Group Quality Committee approved CA12TA to liberate mass production of gearboxes after careful review. It is reported that the new gearbox is developed by FAW Technology Center. Its main box adopts double intermediate shafts, and the auxiliary box adopts helical gear transmission, which has a compact structure and strong bearing capacity.
The new gearbox is developed by FAW Technology Center. This is the third heavy-duty gearbox that has been officially put into production after CA9TB160 single countershaft fully synchronous heavy-duty transmission and CA10TA190 double countershaft heavy-duty gearbox. This gearbox has a wide range of speed ratios and meets the requirements of high-speed fuel-efficient tractors while satisfying the requirements for climbing and starting of dump trucks.
At the same time, the new gearbox is designed with a combination of main and auxiliary boxes. The main box is manually operated and the sub box is pneumatically operated. It has 12 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. The gearbox is suitable for heavy-duty vehicle engines with power ranging from 330 to 460 hp, and is widely adaptable to the current road conditions and transportation conditions in China.
The FAW Liberation Transmission Division was responsible for producing the new CA12TA gearbox.
