"If you have a new type of cellulosic ethanol or a new generation of biodiesel technology, we hope to help you commercialize it." This is the voice from the Canadian Sustainable Technology Foundation. The foundation issued an invitation on August 18th to call for relevant units to actively apply for a new generation of renewable fuel funds totaling 500 million U.S. dollars. Based on the recognition of the importance of developing a new generation of biofuels, the Canadian government proposed to invest US$500 million in establishing a new generation of renewable fuels fund to finance the construction of a new type of biofuel commercialization facility in Canada in the 2007 budget. The Sustainable Development Technology Foundation is responsible for the management and operation of the fund.
