According to statistics, a set of oil refinery equipment requires 20 to 30 compressors, and a set of ethylene equipment requires 40 to 50 compressors. In 2006, large compressors and their drive engines accounted for 20.2% of the share in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, second only to the application in the steel industry. At present, about 50% of domestic large-scale compressor units rely on the introduction. The main suppliers are Siemens, GE, Japan's Ebara and Mitsubishi. In China, there are about 20 sets of ethylene equipment, nearly 70 compressors imported from abroad, this area has long been the "forbidden zone" of domestic units. In the face of China's huge market, as long as there is no technological breakthrough or performance in domestic equipment, the price of foreign products will continue to soar, a set of PTA three-in-one units rose from 12 million US dollars to 20 million US dollars or even higher, delivery time After 12 months were extended to 24 months, many problems occurred in spare parts and after-sales service, which caused the project unit to suffer a lot.
The domestic market has a large demand for large compressors and their drives. It is impossible to rely on imports for a long time. In order to speed up the localization of large-scale compressor sets for the petroleum and chemical industries, Professor Xing Guikun, a professor-level senior engineer at Ryukyu Engineering Co., Ltd., suggests that:
First, it is necessary to increase the intensity of technological development. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen the research and development of the basic flow grade of the ultra-large flow compressor. The basic flow coefficient coefficient is a specific factor for the manufacture of the centrifugal impeller system in the compressor. Its determination not only determines the size of the impeller system flow, but also relates to a number of technical indicators such as system flow rate, pressure ratio, and frictional flow loss. Therefore, the basic flow coefficient coefficient is not only the core part of the compressor, but also the key technology of compressor design. It is one of the indicators to measure the development level and capability of a compressor in a country.
Second, we must strengthen the horizontal integration of technology and equipment. The choice of process technology is closely related to the design, manufacture and operation of the compressor unit. The design of the equipment should be aware of the influence of the technological process of the unit and the technological parameters of the process on the unit. In the past, there have been many cases in China where localization could not be achieved due to lack of process parameters.
Third, we must strengthen the complete sets of capacity of large-scale generating units and change the phenomenon of paying attention to the host and despising auxiliary machines in the past. The safe and stable operation of a unit in a process plant depends not only on the quality performance of the main engine, but also on the good cooperation between the various components of the large compressor group.
Fourth, we must promote the standardization of manufacturer's document delivery. The compressor group is an integration of complex technologies, so the delivery of documents involving technical parameters should also be standardized and the contents list should be brought closer to internationalization.
Fifth, we must advocate that we must always adhere to the user first and service first. Compressor units are inextricably linked to the process system and require the unit's designer to coordinate with the user. In the past, some manufacturing companies were unwilling to cooperate with users' requests and even minor changes. This kind of service concept must be reversed as soon as possible.
