Due to the defective front passenger seat sensing system, Shanghai General Motors announced that it will recall 7,939 Cadillac CTSs on the domestic market from February 16 this year. The recalled vehicle is an imported model for 2005-2007, and its production date is March 23, 2004 - June 26, 2007.
It is understood that the reason for the recall is that the sensor pad of the front passenger seat sensing system may be twisted or folded during use, causing a malfunction of the sensing circuit and causing the airbag lamp to light up. Shanghai GM said last week that after the official recall, measures will be taken to replace the co-pilot seat sensor pad on the problem vehicle to eliminate hidden dangers.
