In order to solve the regulation requirements of cavitation, vibration and low head flow at high head and small flow, Southern Valve has set up a special R&D team for design, manufacture and experiment. In order to meet the complex flow regulation and pressure regulation requirements, the company uses the self-developed sleeve opening calculation software to optimize the injection hole and carry out the reliability demonstration of 3D simulation flow state calculation.
In the design and development process, in order to ensure the consistency of the flow regulation and pressure regulation parameters, the design, manufacture and test comparison of the 1:5 reduction ratio model machine (DN400 PN16 flow regulating pressure regulator) were carried out. The model machine was tested at the Daxing Test Base of the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research in May 2018. Through the test and comparison, the model acceptance test results are basically consistent with the CFD calculation and the preliminary test results (the deviation between the test results and the flow field simulation analysis results does not exceed 5%). The expert group and the acceptance personnel unanimously agreed that the DN400 flow regulating valve model test passed the acceptance test.
Based on the development of the DN400 model machine, the R&D team summed up the experience and successfully completed the design and manufacturing tasks of the DN2000 flow regulating valve.
At the acceptance meeting, the Southern Valve Technology R&D team conducted detailed reports from the DN2000 flow regulating valve design, manufacturing process and quality inspection. Through inspection of physical objects, review data and on-site tests, the acceptance team agreed that the DN2000 flow regulating pressure regulating valve is of reasonable design and performance indicators meet the requirements of working conditions. The main technical parameters and performance indicators have reached the international leading level of similar products, and unanimously agreed to DN2000 regulating flow.
