No matter which interface, no matter how many lines, it must have the following functions: trigger line, high voltage line, grounding line and power supply line. The power supply line comes from the AC coil, called AC igniter, and the power supply line comes from the battery. , called DC igniter. In addition to the above four main functional lines, some may have a flameout line and a speed line. When replacing the igniter, in addition to the original car igniter can be docked according to the line color, generally need to be docked according to the function line, then how to judge the function of each line?

The common AC igniter has 5 wires, which are charging, triggering, grounding, ignition coil and flameout. Some cars will trigger the signal negatively into the igniter, which will become 6 wires. The DC igniter is a 12 volt DC power source that is charged by internal oscillation to charge the capacitor. The control of the 12 volt power supply can control the flameout, so there is no flameout line.

In the actual maintenance, using the resistance of the multimeter to measure the resistance between the five wires on the igniter butt plug, the function of each lead can be quickly identified. First determine the ground wire, the ground wire and the battery negative or the shell's resistance is zero (multimeter resistance file R * 1 file), if not found, the ground wire has an open circuit. Next, measure the resistance of each line to ground, the resistance value is 300~600 ohms for the charging coil, the resistance value is 120~200 ohms is the trigger coil, and the resistance value is a few ohms for the ignition coil primary. It is the flameout line, and the resistance to ground is infinite when the switch is turned on. The 6-line trigger signal line is two, which are not connected to the ground line.

When troubleshooting high-voltage, non-fire faults, the fault can be quickly locked by measurement. If the measurement is normal and the secondary resistance of the ignition coil is also normal, the igniter is damaged. The function of each lead is clearly identified, and when the accessory is missing in the maintenance, the replacement between the igniters can be realized. Common models and common igniters, in fact, regardless of the interface is consistent, as long as the function line is judged, according to the function docking, basically can be used. Therefore, the so-called universal igniter is also on the market. This is actually the most common Honda igniter, but Honda has the most cars, so it seems to be omnipotent.

The above is mainly Honda cars and miscellaneous brands, because they are basically short boss models, so the igniter is basically universal, but if you encounter special models, such as negative trigger, long boss, double boss, etc. The igniter is caught in the model. In general, Yamaha cars (construction, Lin Hai, etc.) and Suzuki cars (Haojue, Qingqi, etc.) are all long bosses, and the above mentioned igniters are not available. The latest models of Sundiro Honda and Wuyang Honda, although they belong to the Honda system, they all use the CBF type engine, which is a double boss. The above igniter cannot be used. Short boss igniter replacement is easy, but long boss and double boss igniter replacement is very difficult, it is difficult to find a suitable one, it is more difficult to find long and short bosses to eat.
