GE will provide seawater sulfuric acid removal technology for the Norwegian offshore oil industry

Recently, GE Water has confirmed that it will cooperate with Statoil (Norwegian National Oil Company) to take care of its seawater sulfuric acid removal business in its offshore oil and gas industry.

Statoil selected a consortium of GE water treatment companies and Halvorsen TEC, a leading Norwegian company in thermal energy, to provide it with a complete package of sulfuric acid removal technologies. This sulfuric acid removal technology is designed to ensure that Statoil's production well in the Johan Castberg project in the Barents Sea can work in a safe environment.

GE Water and Halvorsen TEC will work closely with Statoil to provide FEED: front end engineering design for the Johan Castberg project. It is reported that FEED work will start in 2017 and will last 6 months; equipment assembly and delivery will be completed by mid-2019. Expected, Johan Castberg refinery will be completed and put into operation in 2022.

Following the removal of seawater sulfuric acid, GE Water Solutions will continue to provide follow-up services such as process assurance and performance monitoring through its InSight network platform.

"As offshore exploration and production shift to deeper levels of risk, operators must ensure that their investment is rewarded to the maximum. Sulfuric acid removal technologies are critical to safe offshore production." GE, in collaboration with Halvorsen TEC, Will provide Statoil and other oil and gas producers with advanced sulfuric acid removal technologies to help them reduce production costs in the risky, deep-sea production environment, "said Heiner Markhoff, Chairman and CEO of GE Water.

Glass Washer Machine

Glass cleaning machines are important equipment in the glass industry, used to clean glass surfaces and prepare them for further processing. There are two main types of glass cleaning machines: horizontal and vertical.
Horizontal glass cleaning machines are designed for cleaning and drying flat glass panels. They are commonly used in the production of windows, mirrors and architectural glass. The machines are equipped with a conveyor system that moves the glass panels horizontally through a series of cleaning and drying stages. Spray the panels with water and detergent, scrub to remove dirt and debris, and then dry using hot air or infrared technology. Horizontal glass cleaning machines are highly efficient and suitable for mass production.
Vertical flat glass washers, on the other hand, are designed to clean glass panels in a vertical position. This type of machine is typically used for cleaning larger glass panels or glass panels with special coatings that require gentle handling. Upright washing machines use a series of soft brushes and water jets to clean glass surfaces without causing any damage. They are ideal for processing delicate glass products such as insulated glass and laminated glass.
