Single point EFI

The EFI system of an automobile engine is generally composed of three parts: a fuel injection circuit, a sensor group, and an electronic control unit. If the injector is installed in the original carburetor position, ie there is only one gasoline injection point for the entire engine, this is a single point EFI.

Since the single-point injection is to set the injector above the throttle valve, only the atomization at the throttle valve and the temperature of the heating pipe wall increase the evaporation degree of the fuel, but it is difficult to ensure that the throttle valve is behind the intake valve. No oil film or oil droplets are formed, so the structure of the intake manifold has a significant impact on the delivery and distribution of the mixture, and it is difficult to maintain an ideal mixture distribution under all operating conditions.

However, the single-point injection is simple in construction, reliable in operation, and simple in maintenance. One of the obvious advantages is that the single-point injection injector is located above the throttle valve and directly injected into the intake pipe with high airflow speed. Since the pressure is low here (velocity is inversely proportional to the pressure), only 0 is needed during injection. A low pressure of .1 MPa can be injected, and a multi-point injection must be operated at 0.35 MPa, which means that a single injection system can reduce the requirement for an electric fuel pump and save costs. However, the emission standards and fuel economy of single-point EFI are less than multi-point EFI, and they are slowly being eliminated.
